It is priced at $2.995 million.
Gray had a long career in the public eye after recovering from polio as a child. She started out as a model in the 1960s, then did nearly 400 TV commercials. She was a lookalike Anne Bancroft in ‘The Graduate’ – yes, those were Gray’s legs in the title image too. She also played the role of Mrs. Robinson in the stage version both in London and new York. She had roles in the television series “Melrose Place” and “Models, Inc.” and many other small roles in movies and television. But it was his portrayal of Sue Ellen in ‘Dallas’ which put her on the stardom map. From there, she was nominated for several Emmys and Golden Globe awards. In an interview, she admitted to having a penchant for playing dysfunctional women.
But the one thing in Gray’s life that definitely isn’t dysfunctional is his Oak Tree Ranch. Adapted to her standards of functionality, Linda has made it a very easy and comfortable place to live. As she says, “he hugs you with his warmth.” Linda and her artistic director husband, Ed Thrasheractually found the ranch by accident while helping friends from Tennessee looking for a ranch to buy. The ranch was across from the one their friends were visiting and was also for sale. Apart from being a beautiful property, it also has many ancient oak trees, which they believed to be over 500 years old. After buying it, they appropriately named it Oak Tree Ranch.
Built in 1973 and only 35 minutes from beverly hills, the three-acre gated equestrian estate has numerous structures and amenities such as horse stables, tack room/barn, north-south tennis court, large swimming pool with spa, organic gardens, koi pond and even a chicken coop. Between the main house and the two-story guest house, there are a total of five bedrooms and four bathrooms nestled in 4,800 square feet of living space. The two-bedroom guest house also has a kitchen and living room. One of Gray’s favorite pieces is the Josh Schweitzer-the kitchen designed and another gray touch is to have chimneys high enough so that they can be seen while lying in bed and also while working on a kitchen counter for the kitchen chimney. In the nearly 50 years she’s lived in the house, Gray hasn’t missed a thing when it comes to adding everyday livability to the home.
