The show is set to feature major drama in the next track of the show.

As we all know that Abhishek is also a terrorist and has hidden his identity under police uniform, we called charmer Waseem Mushtaq,

As an actor, do you have to try out characters that don’t fit into television boxes like yours?

This is a human being, there is no norm as such for an innocent looking person not to use swear words. He’s a complete TV stereotype, if he’s a villain he must have stubble. This is an illogical parameter set by the industry. Luckily, the creative team and creators of the show are all from a web background, they have a different mindset, and they do it full justice. They wrote it very well.

Spy Bahu has a web show feel and not a daily soap opera feel?

That’s the USP of the show, there are such brilliant shows that may not have an audience, but they define uniqueness. With Spy Bahu, you won’t find that cooking politics brings a completely different perspective which makes it interesting for the actor as well as the viewers. Luckily, there are producers trying to do that because it’s high time to change the television narrative. We have seen the same thing for 20 years now. Keep women on point, but show it in an interesting way.

Most shows, even today, have cooking as their backdrop, how would that narrative change?

This is very important because we see that today’s women are not bound by the kitchen, they are all about their careers. There should be shows that feature working women. Showing housebound women is always a selling point for manufacturers and they are taking a business perspective. These things act as catalysts and soon we would have better conceptualized shows that go beyond cooking. Even with the emergence of OTT, there will soon be changes in terms of the stories that shows tell audiences.
