Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions signs two-year TV deal with Universal

While waiting for his new horror film Nope, to come in July 2022, Jordan peele just signed a brand new television contract with Universal Studio Group, Deadline reports today.

Peele and Win Rosenfeld’s Monkey paw productions entered into a “new global multi-year television deal” with Universal, following a previous television pact with Amazon.

The deadline states that “The new agreement will cover the development and television production of Peele and Monkeypaw in the Universal Studio Group, Universal Television and UCP divisions.”

“The term ‘visionary’ is used too often in our business, but in Jordan Peele’s case it couldn’t be more apt. He brings clarity of purpose as well as cultural uniqueness to everything he does, and audiences around the world have responded. I am truly honored that Jordan and his partner Win Rosenfeld have chosen our studio as their TV house for the foreseeable future, ”said Pearlena Igbokwe, President of Universal Studio Group.

“We are delighted to partner with Pearlena and the amazing team at USG to produce the future of Monkeypaw’s TV slate,” said Monkeypaw President Win Rosenfeld. “Their expertise, creativity and spirit of collaboration are perfectly suited to our company. This opportunity to continue to create dynamic and diverse programming, while deepening our relationship with NBCU, is truly exciting. “

If any horror projects emerge from this deal, we will of course keep you posted.
