The Bear on Disney+ UK in October

Disney+ has confirmed that the critically acclaimed original series the bear will be launched on the streaming platform in the UK and Ireland on October 5, with all eight episodes of the first season available to stream that day.

“The Bear” follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (played by Jeremy Allen White), a young chef from the foodie world, who returns to Chicago to run her family sandwich shop – The Original Beef of Chicagoland – after a death in her family. A world far from what he’s used to, Carmy must balance the realities of owning a small business, his willful and recalcitrant kitchen staff, and his strained family relationships, while struggling with the impact of his brother’s suicide. .

In addition to White, the co-stars of this half-hour comedy series include Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson and Matty Matheson.

the bear was created by Christopher Storer (Rummy, Eigth year), who is also an executive producer alongside Joanna Calo (BoJack Rider, Fact), Hiro Murai (Atlanta, station eleven) and Nate Matteson (station eleven, The Choe Show) by Super Frog and Josh Senior, with Tyson Bidner (Rummy) as producer and Matty Matheson as co-producer. The series is produced by FX Productions and has already been renewed for a second season.
